poem a day

I am doing a new thing which is putting out one of my poems each day hoping to get feed back on how to make each poem better. this is day one.

Dandelion Queen

Remember when dandelions were your favorite flower?
The orangish petals reminded you of the hot summer sun.
Gracefully, you would dance around them.
Wearing dandelion diamonds on every inch of your body,
You skipped around with an effortless royal beauty
When you found a long steamed dandelion,
Swaying hypnotically in the sweet wind,
A quite calm would sweetly kiss your spirit.

A scattered smile crossed your face
Right before you snatched the dandelion. Spotted next swinging eminently in your hand
As if it were your own magic wand,
Bewitching all that saw your image of grace.
All of the innocence that was left within.

To me, that flower will never be,
Just a weed.
